At the Edo State Ministry of Water Resources, we are committed to ensuring equitable access to clean and safe water for all residents of Edo State. As stewards of water resources, we strive to promote sustainable management and development of water infrastructure across the state.
The Ministry Of Water Resources Was Established In 2003 In Line With The Directive Of the Federal Government under The Desire And Plan Of the Edo State Government To Provide a Potable Water Supply For All Desiring Citizens and Residents Of Edo State. The Ministry is charged With The Responsibility Of Providing Good Water in Urban, Semi-Urban, And Rural Areas Of The State.
The Ministry of Water Resources, located at the Edo State Government House is charged with the responsibility of providing portable Water Supply and Sanitation Services across the state. It oversees two (2) Agencies namely: Small Town and Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Agency (STRUWASSA) to handle the Rural water supply and Sanitation component, and Edo Urban Water Corporation (EUWC) to handle the Urban water supply and Sanitation Component.
To be a leading institution in the provision of innovative and sustainable water solutions, ensuring universal access to safe and clean water for all residents of Edo State.
Our mission is to efficiently manage water resources to meet the diverse needs of Edo State’s population while promoting environmental sustainability and socio-economic development. We ensure coordination and accountability of all stakeholders in the sector, including the end users, to deliver sustainable and accessible potable water, sanitation, and hygiene services to all in Edo State.
